昨日から夏時間です。上の写真を撮ったのは５時過ぎ。こんなに明るい！夜７時頃まで明るいです。夏至までどんどん日が長くなると思うと嬉しいです。やっと暗くて寒い冬が終わったんですねぇ。ベルリンもだんだんと暖かくなってきていて、日中は９度くらいです。カフェの外席がすでに満席になりつつあります。外を歩いてる人も多い。今のうちにたくさん日光を浴びておかないと！なんです。本当に散歩に良い季節です。日本はこれで桜があるなんて、羨ましい。あ、只今日本との時差７時間です。ところで、この写真はLPGを出たとこで撮りました。このお城のような建物は税務署です。

もうすぐイースターです。いろんなとこで色付きのカラフルな卵を見かけます。ユダヤ教ではもうすぐペサフ（Pesach）です。英語ではPassover。昔むかしユダヤ人を奴隷として使ったエジプシャンたちへの罰が神から下ったというお話があります。神はエジプト人に１０の災いを起こします。最後の罰というのが「すべての初子を撃つ」というもの。神はエジプト人の家を一軒一軒まわって撃っていきます。その時ユダヤ人の家だけは通り過ぎて（passed over）いったことから始まったPassover。この時期、パンは食べてはいけなくて、食べていいのは２０分前後で仕上がるパンだそうです。基本的に小麦系を使ったものは食べないそうです。パスタやビールもタブーだそうです。蕎麦も。。今年は４月８日から１週間です。

Well, i think it's not the best title for this day, even thou it seems like the summer will come earlier this year. I am not sure how summer is defined in Germany yet. One of my german teachers once said, that Germany has two seasons: Winter and the rest. Just to complete this sad joke, Israel has also two seasons. Summer and the rest.
So, it was 12 degrees today. And the sun was shining. And the living is easy! A lovely day in Berlin. Which means, that all of the Berliner are outside, drinking coffee. Or bear. Or whatever you can drink, as long as it's outside in the sun. It can also be -20 degrees and sunny, they will still sit outside. Amazing people... They should have grown up in a summer country, then they wouldn't be so thrilled because of a little sun-time...
I, anyhow, was in the office where i work the entire day, and didn't enjoy this rare time. Tomorrow will be sunny too, so, i have some more sun time. It's important, because of vitamin D! which is created when we exposed to the sun.
Easter is coming too, and long with it Pesach or Passover (Or, i should write "Pesach is coming, and along with it comes Easter). They started selling colored bunny eggs, which always raises the 2 questions - How come bunnies lay eggs? and what's the connection to colored eggs and jesus?... We will explain about pesach some other time, it's a long story.

Oh, btw! This building, that looks like it was taken from a medieval movie about knights and holly grails is actually the tax office in this borough of Berlin (Kreuzberg, if you insist...). Now, if this is the tax office, think what the jail for people not paying their taxes look like! :-)
