クロイツベルグ散歩に続いて、今回からは今住んでるシュテーグリッツです。ベルリンはその４０％が緑らしいのですが（なんて多いんでしょ！）、シュテーグリッツはその５０％が緑だと思います。そのくらい至る所にもさもさと緑があります。植物園もありますしね。公園もとても多いです。

今日はシュテーグリッツのカナル（運河）を。クロイツベルグのカナルのことを前に書きましたが、シュテーグリッツのは雰囲気が全然違います。でもこのカナルをずーっと北東に辿っていくとあのクロイツベルグのカナルに繋がるのです。カナル沿いの道は土手のように水面から高い位置にあって、その土手とカナルの間の斜面にはやはりもさもさと木がびっしり生えていてカナルが見えません（上の写真のように。カナルはたくさんの緑に挟まれています）。。けれどもここは最高の散歩・サイクリングコースでもあります。この散歩道の両側にもさもさ木があるので、森の中を歩いているよう。少し開けた所にはどーっと芝生があってそれが大きい公園に続きます。

クロイツベルグに住んでいた頃はよくヴィクトリアパークに好んで散歩に行っていましたが、週末の天気の良い日ともなるとたくさんの人がブランケットを敷いて日光を楽しんでいました。私がこのシュテーグリッツカナルを散歩したのは昨日、ドイツは昨日まで連休でした。カナルから続く大きな公園はガラガラ。ぽつぽつと人がいる程度。昨日はかなり天気が良い日だったんですが、大きな公園だからか、ベルリンのセンターからは離れているからか、若い人が少ないエリアだからか（？）、とにかく空いていました。緑と日光を独り占めしているような贅沢な感覚です。今度はランチボックスでも作ってピクニックに行こうと思います。

最寄り駅はRathaus steglitzもしくはLankwitzです。どちらの駅からも少し離れていて歩いて２０分くらいです。バスがあるかもしれません。自転車だとパーフェクトです（私は歩くのがすきなのでひたすら歩きましたが）。とりあえず地図を。

For those of you who haven't been reading everything we were writing so far, we moved to Steglitz. Steglitz is a south-west region of Berlin, full of... germans?... donno, this area is not like the famous berlin regions. It's not as chic as Kreuzberg or Prenzlauer Berg, it's not full of hotels like Charlottenburg, no extreme anarchists like in Friedrichshain or extreme right-eingers like Marzahn. It's simply a nice place to live in. Sometimes quiet, sometimes full of shoppers, and just 15 minutes away from our old house. With a train. If you don't miss the connection. If you miss, it's 20 minutes :-) .
So, this weekend, we went to see the local river. I claimed that there is any point in Berlin has a river or a water source in just 30 minutes walk. Even from our house. So we walked. After 30 minutes, we got to picture number 1 :-) . If they had his kind of riverside in Kreuzberg, it would be full of people. Actually, there IS a place like that in kreuzberg, and it is full. Usually... We walked for 15 minutes or so, along the river, and got to a nice park, where an old lady was painting something, next to a lovely house, which we didn't figure what it was. We then continued to walk, and if i remember correctly, got to another park. Berlin is full of parks. Amazingly full. And it's beautiful. I wish Tel aviv had so many parks. I know it's not so possible, but i still wish it was so...
This was the first serious walk we talk in this area (after a few short ones), which lasted almost 4 hours. We eventually came home really tired. And happy :-)
